April marks the beginning of the school year in Japan, when kids head out to start the next grade. Most elementary school students dress is everyday clothes for most of the year, but it is customary for them to put on their best clothes for the first day.
This year, many schools ended the year early to help protect kids from the recent Coronavirus concerns, so parents are hoping that their children will be able to return to their classrooms soon.
