Chinese New Year is a traditional festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. Chinese New Year celebrations commence on the first day of the new moon between 21 January and February 20 and in 2021, the first day of Chinese New Year will be the 12th of February, which is the Year of the Ox. The largest of Japan’s many Chinese neighborhoods is in Yokohama, which (during non-pandemic years) frequently hosts gorgeous festivals and street parades.
