Japan in Photos – Japan Celebrates Reading Week
December 01, 2021
In connection with Culture Day, October 27 to November 8 has been designated Reading Week. Reading has long been a popular pastime in Japan, which has had one of the highest literacy rates in the world. Libraries are available in nearly every town and neighborhood in Japan, and it is very common to see people outside or during their daily commutes reading books, newspapers, comics, or online materials.
