While cities in Japan are known for their modern styles and architecture, in more rural areas one can frequently find houses built well over a century ago, style with traditional interiors and exteriors. Some house, like this on in Hyogo Prefecture, have been converted into cafes or restaurants, allowing visitors to step into the past as they enjoy a meal.
