Throughout the year, one can find different varieties flowers in bloom in Japan. During January, it is possible to see brilliant fields of keito, also known as Celosia argentea. The plants produce bunches of flowers so tiny that they look like solid cones, ranging in color from yellow and orange to pink and purple. The plant is found in the warmer parts of Japan, ranging from Okinawa and the islands of Kyushu and Shikoku east as far as the Kanto region.
