Japan in Photos – Nekoyanagi
February 04, 2022
Unlike their cousins growing in other parts of the world, Japanese pussy willows, or nekoyanagi, have a distinctive pink color that makes them a popular element in flower arranging. The fuzzy blossoms, also called catkins, appear in full force during the late winter and very early spring, and are often incorporated into decorations for Chinese New Year.
