Japan in Photos – Golden Ginkgo
October 28, 2020

The round leaves of the ginkgo tree (or itchou in Japanese) are traditional symbols used in Japanese art, and are one of the emblems of Tokyo today. Every October, the trees turn bright yellow, lining city avenues with gold. This one in Tokyo’s Meiji Jingu Gaien Park is a popular spot for strolling and taking photos.
