Art represents numerous ideas and concepts brought together as a whole, whether by painters, sculptors, photographers, performers, or many others and Japanese modern art has sought new and unique expressions though these aesthetics. Ms. Adulaya Hoontrakul, Director of Bangkok Art, and Culture Centre and a current doctoral student at Tokyo University of the Arts talks with Japan Up Close about how Japan has set an example for the development of the Arts and its infrastructure in the Asia Pacific, supporting artists and cultural institutions, and becoming a proximity for contemporary arts.
