Japan in Photos – Shellfish
March 09, 2022
Japan’s beaches and coastlines are home to a tremendous wealth of shellfish. In the early spring, as the weather is just starting to get warm, one can often find groups of people at the seashore, ranging from little children to seniors, digging in the sand for clams to take home and cook in a wide variety of traditional dishes. One popular dish is a variety of miso soup packed full of clams still in their shells.
