Japan in Photos – OriHime
August 05, 2022
Developed by OryLab Inc., the OriHime robot is designed to provide people with disabilities new opportunities for working from home. Acting as avatars, the robots allow people who are isolated due to disability, hospitalization, or other reasons, to interact with other people, seeing and hearing through the robot's camera and microphone. Restaurants and other shops have begun using larger versions of the OriHime so that employees at home can communicate through an intuitive interface. (all photos are courtesy OryLab Inc.)
