In 2019, Cloud ON OKINAWA, a local development project involving several cities and towns, was launched in Okinawa. This initiative connects IT companies with businesses in Okinawa. Stores participating in this initiative will be able to introduce services from IT companies to solve their problems and expand their sales channels by opening online stores. This allows participating Okinawan farmers to create new products and sell them throughout the country. This local development project is expanding the productivity and market for Okinawan agricultural products.
