Martin Schulz, PhD, is a Senior Researcher with the Fujitsu Research Institute - a think tank supported by the Fujitsu Group. His research focuses not only on technology but also on economic and social trends, analyzing how world events affect Japan and Japan’s contributions on the world stage. Martin is often called upon by international media as an expert on the latest economic trends in Japan. He is widely published and has written papers on a variety of subjects including digital opportunities, ageing societies, and globalization.

In this interview Martin speaks in depth about the G20, its relevance today as a platform, how it has changed over the years, and on what Japan is doing to try to shape this year’s agenda. This year the G20 will be held in Osaka, Japan on June 28th and 29th.
