In Miyagi Prefecture in the northern Tohoku region, there is the National Michinoku Forest Lakeside Park. In this park, visitors can see a variety of flowers and plants throughout the year. In spring, daffodils, cherry blossoms, tulips, rapeseed plant blossoms, and many other flowers are in full bloom, signaling the arrival of spring to visitors to the park. This is the only national park in Japan's northeast. In addition to the fields of flowers and grasses, visitors can also see old private houses with the characteristics of each of the six prefectures in the Tohoku region. Visitors can feel the history, climate, and traditional culture of each prefecture. Visitors can also feel the nostalgic Japanese original landscape that seems to appear in nursery rhymes and folk tales.
Sculpted hillsides with rows of bright flowers planted on them
Large round flower beds with color flowers and large fountains
Tall cherry trees on a hillside over bright purple flowers on the ground
And old thatched-roof style home
