"Owara Kazeno Bon" is a traditional event held in Yatsuo Town, Toyama Prefecture. It originated during the early Edo period and has continued for about 300 years. Sorrowful music is played on kokyu and shamisen, and men and women wearing net hats over their eyes as they dance to the song. The woven hats hiding the dancer's expressions, the sound of the kokyu, and the silent and quiet dance invites the audience into a fantasy world. Due to the COVID pandemic, it is now being held in September this year for the first time in two years.
